Tunisian president Mouncef Merzouki lifted the state of emergency enforced since 14 January 2011. The decision does not apply to the military areas on the border with Algeria and Libya. As stipulated by the roadmap agreement of the Quartic national dialogue Meanwhile, 18 out of Tunisia’s 24 governors were replaced. Imaad Ghadbani was appointed national security chief.
